2026 First Quarter Donations
Firehouse Quilts received $2,790 in donations from January 1 through March 31, 2026, and we are so grateful for this incredible support. This includes $370 from the King Soopers Community Awards program and $50 from the PayPal Giving Fund, along with generous individual donations from Maureen S., Jan H., the Solana Quilting Group, and Dana S. Supporting Marisol Homes
On April 14, Jacque, Cathy and Karen delivered 49 quilts, six afghans, 10 receiving blankets with burp cloths, 15 pillowcases and 10 toys to Lynda, the Operations Manager at Marisol Homes. Part of Catholic Charities of Denver, Marisol Homes provides an extended stay shelter for pregnant women and single women with children. A Happy Craig Hospital Patient

Sweetheart Dance Always a Success

Fat Quarter Frenzy at Sew Day
The Sew Day on March 18, was held at the LDS Church in Lakewood, and once again we extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful hosts, Bonnie and Bob M. Firehouse Quilts and Arvada Fire Department: A Meaningful Partnership
Firehouse Quilts recently delivered 35 quilts to the Arvada Fire Department Administration Building, with Barbara C making the drop off at one of their stations. Clear Creek Advocates Receive First Quilt Donation
Cathy, Christie, Jacque, and Karen traveled to Idaho Springs on February 2 to meet with Clear Creek Advocates and deliver 18 adult quilts and 40 snuggle quilts. Clear Creek Advocates is community based rather than connected to a police or social services department, although they work closely with these agencies. January Sew Day Recap: Kicking Off 2026 in Record Fashion
Our January 21 sew day marked the first sew day of 2026, and it set the tone for an incredible year ahead. We were thrilled to welcome a record-breaking 73 people throughout the day. Holiday Celebrations Continue in January
Bad weather canceled the Firehouse Quilts holiday party in December, so it was postponed to January 7. Over 50 members attended the luncheon at St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch. Thank You to the Generous Supporters of Firehouse Quilts!
Like many non-profits, most of the donations that Firehouse Quilts receives occur during the last quarter of the year and 2025 was no exception. Our largest fundraiser was the Colorado Gives Day campaign which began in November and ran through December 9. During that timeframe, over $8,000 was contributed to FHQ by members and other supporters. In total, almost $11,000 was donated to FHQ during the fourth quarter of 2025. Pathways to Healing and Hope

There is always a strong push during the final two months of the year for members to finish quilts and other projects in preparation for deliveries. In 2025, thanks to the dedication of Firehouse Quilts members, 2,178 quilts were turned in at sew days. These quilts were added to inventory and donated throughout the year. 108 Quilts and a Whole Lotta Love for TESSA
On December 11, 2025, Barbara M. and Carol G.’s husband, Bill, delivered a car full of wonderful handmade items to TESSA in Colorado Springs. Christmas at Craig Hospital
Twenty quilts and 26 Christmas pillowcases were delivered to Craig Hospital on December 10, following the Firehouse Quilts Sew Day by Barbara C. Quilt Number 2,178 Turned in at December Sew Day
The final sew day of the year was on December 10, with 53 members attending and turning in 97 quilts. It’s been a productive year for the ladies who have made and turned in 2,178 quilts which is truly amazing. Warren Village Preparing for Christmas
Jacque, Lynn, and Christie delivered 17 kids quilts, 12 mom quilts, 20 stockings, and 12 squishmallows to Nick at the corporate office of Warren Village on December 8, 2025. Some of the items will be handed out at their Christmas parties and the quilts will go on beds in their facilities at the Gilpin campus.
