Monetary Donations

MAKE A GENERAL DONATION VIA PAYPAL:  We accept cash, check, and credit card donations through PayPal.  You do not need a PayPal account to make a donation.  One of our largest expenses is batting. 

 

SPONSOR A ROLL OF BATTING via PayPal with a donation of $147!  

VIA COLORADO GIVES DAY:  An annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Community First Foundation and FirstBank encourage all Coloradans are encouraged to “Give Where You Live” by donating to local nonprofits on ColoradoGives.org.

King Soopers Rewards

Participating in the King Soopers Reward Program is an easy, no-cost way to support Firehouse Quilts.  All you do is register your Sooper card (the one you use when you make purchases at King Soopers) on their website and select Firehouse Quilts as the charity of your choice.  Then, every time you swipe that card (or enter your alternate ID), Firehouse Quilts will receive 5% of every purchase you make.

Materials

Fabric Donations

We accept the following fabric donations:

  • 100% cotton quilting fabric only

  • Fat quarter size or larger (18 x 22″)

  • Prints and solids

  • Fleece fabric - one yard minimum

  • Minky fabric - three yard minimum (enough for a 45″ x 45″ quilt back)

 

We do NOT accept the following:

  • Scraps!  All fabric must be fat quarter or larger.

  • Holiday fabrics, large floral patterned fabrics, knits, polyester, tulle, velvet, satin, corduroy, upholstery fabrics, stretchy fabric, thin/see-through fabric, dress-making fabric, etc. as this cannot be used in our quilts.

  • Magazines, books, patterns.

  • Notions, except for rotary blades.

  • Thread older than 5 years.

 

We are currently only accepting fabric 15 years old or less from a nonsmoking environment.  We ask that you please go through the fabric before donating to be sure it is something we can use.

Because of limited time and space, we accept fabric donations by appointment only.  Please contact us to arrange a date and time.
