On September 22nd, Jordyn N. received 30 quilts and pillowcases for the Douglas County Women’s Crisis Center. They recently added another room to their shelter, in addition they are utilizing two hotel rooms for their residents.
The center’s goal is to end domestic violence through advocacy, education, and prevention. The emergency shelter provides safety for those in imminent danger. Residents are allowed to stay two to three months in order to establish a plan for themselves and their children.
