On a recent wintery day, Barbara C. delivered 19 quilts and 20 pillowcases to Craig Hospital. Abby and Nancy were there to recieve our donation. Nancy mentioned that when the patients check out to go home, they usually are carrying their quilts and mention to her how much the quilt means to them.
Notice the painting behind Abby and Nancy. It was created by Craig patients who rolled their wheelchairs through paint and then onto the canvas. This technique was taught by Damon McLeese of Access Gallery - a nonprofit organization that offers artistic experiences to people with disabilities.
