Sew Day on August 21 was a happy occasion. Adrianne, the daughter of our favorite Limb Foundation representative Joe, was presented with a quilt in memory of her dad. Cathy D. made a quilt from some of Joe’s shirts. Adrianne knew it was being made, but hadn’t seen it yet. Naturally, the tears flowed, but she loved it.
Helen I. brought a very pleasant surprise! She donated two full rolls of batting, 16 bagged battings of different sizes, and over 100 cones of thread for long arm machines. The wonderful people that quilt our quilts on their longarm machines were very excited to get the thread.
The tables were overflowing with 186 quilts for the bed-turning. This brings our yearly total to 1266. There have been 724 donated this year. As always, there were also stockings and pillowcases.
