Marisol Home Celebrates Christmas

On December 11, Alice Z, Gwen C, Joyce S, and Jacque S delivered 51 quilts to Marisol Home in Lakewood. Marisol provides a safe and caring emergency and community-based interim home for mothers with children and expectant mothers. Most of the mothers living at Marisol were experiencing homelessness and will receive care and support while waiting for secure housing and a job. Currently the shelter is filled with 15 mothers and 22 children.

Also donated were afghans, receiving blankets, baby hats, Christmas stockings and pillowcases. The items were given to the mothers and children at their annual Christmas party on December 12th. Alumni Moms were also in attendance at the party.
