On November 4th, a donation of 75 quilts was taken to Hope and Help Center in Castle Rock. The quilts will be used for the Santa Shares program starting on November 20th. There are 180 families in Douglas and Elbert counties that have registered to allow the parents to pick out holiday gifts for their children. In addition to the quilts there were also 22 baby hats, 6 crocheted afghans, and 6 receiving blankets donated. Hope and Help Center serves those in serious economic need as well as people who risk homelessness by providing them food, gas and rent vouchers, and other necessities. Deputy Director Jenny and Client Advocates Rebecca and Kristana were elated to receive the quilts. Susan, who is the volunteer coordinator, will be helping to hand out the quilts during the holidays.
