Mountain Resource Center Receives Quilts for their Christmas Programs

On November 30, Jacque and Christie delivered 80 quilts to Lisa at the Mountain Resource Center in Conifer.  The Mountain Resource Center serves West Jefferson and Park counties.  In an effort to improve quality of life and promote self sufficiency to their residents, they provide many services including helping families with daycare at their Early Childhood Learning Center, helping Veterans navigate the system and complete paperwork through their Veterans Program, and offering healthcare appointments at certain times. During the pandemic, they set up large shipping containers to convert the food pantry into a “drive through,” and in November they provided 150 Thanksgiving meals to the community. MRC provides many services for the community.
