FIREHOUSE QUILTS

OF COLORADO, INC.

Firehouse Quilts Loses a Dear Friend

For over ten years Joe G spoiled the Firehouse Quilts members with pizza parties, coffee and donuts, and beautiful roses. He was the contact person for Limb Preservation Foundation who picked up and delivered the quilts to patients recovering from limb loss or reconstruction. We are very sad to inform others that Joe passed away on February 25th due to complications of Covid-19.

Joe himself was a patient once on the limb preservation floor at Presbyterian Hospital due to an arm injury. He knew how difficult and long the recovery process could be from surgery and was the perfect volunteer at this facility. He personally picked out each quilt for the patients after talking with them about their hobbies and favorite colors. He loved to fish and do his volunteer work. His kindness and thoughtfulness to Firehouse Quilts will truly be missed.

Donations can be made in Joe's honor to Limb Preservation Foundation or Donate Life.
