On September 23rd, seven members of Firehouse Quilts attended the Veterans Administration Bumble Bee Baby Shower. The event was hosted by the VA Colorado Health Care System on the VA campus in Aurora. The women receiving the quilts and baby items were non active Veteran Moms who registered to attend this event. Our members found out if the babies were boys or girls and then passed the donated items through the car windows to the Moms. This event is normally held indoors, however, Covid has forced it to be held outdoors. The Moms received quilts, receiving blankets, burp rags, floor pads and crocheted hats from FHQ. Thank you to Christie, Alice, Barbara, Joyce, Lynn, Karen and Jacque for helping out with this event.
