On August 17, a group of 41 Firehouse Quilt members attended the sew day. It was a very busy day with Christmas challenge and Halloween fabrics filling two large tables. A big selection of new fabrics was also available to be picked through.
There were 196 beautiful quilts to be viewed during the bed turning, some of which will be going to the Rocky Mountain VA Medical Center and Long's Peak Hospice, who are new clients.
In addition to the quilts, there were 50 receiving blankets, 15 receiving blankets with burp cloth sets, 16 darling crocheted hats, and 10 crocheted blankets turned in. So far in 2022 there have been 1,591 quilts turned in and 1,189 quilted donated to a large assortment of agencies.
