On April 29, Firehouse Quilts volunteers Jacque, Cathy, Christie and Karen made a meaningful delivery to New Legacy Charter School, providing 42 quilts, 7 stuffed toys, 1 pillow, 28 receiving blankets, 19 burp cloths, 5 crocheted blankets, and 5 dolly quilts.
New Legacy Charter School serves teen parents and their children through a two-generation approach, supporting both young mothers and fathers. The school offers a high school education alongside early childhood education on the same campus, allowing students to continue their education while their children receive quality care and learning opportunities. Graduation will be held on May 22, 2026, marking an important milestone for these hardworking students and their families.
Each item delivered was made with care by our volunteers and is meant to provide comfort and encouragement to these young families as they work toward a brighter future.
We are grateful to support organizations like New Legacy that are making a lasting difference in our community.
