A Remarkably Productive Sew Day

Fifty-seven talented and generous women gathered at Above and Beyond on May 20 to support Firehouse Quilts and our mission. Together, they turned in an incredible 220 quilts, bringing our year-to-date total to 1,049 quilts. What an amazing accomplishment!
In addition to the quilts, members donated 12 pillowcases, 19 bags, 6 crocheted blankets, 3 dolly quilts, 3 stuffed animals, 4 coin purses, and 5 crayon bags.
The crayon bags are especially adorable. Each one features crayons tucked into pockets on the outside and includes a small coloring book inside.
We are continuing to collect bags for CASA through the July Sew Day. These bags will be given to children who do not have backpacks.
Thank you to all of our members for their creativity, generosity, and dedication. Your work makes a difference in the lives of children and families facing difficult circumstances.
