A Heartfelt Thank You to Joyce

Joyce Johnson has been a member of Firehouse Quilts for more than 23 years. Over the years, she faithfully attended sew days and created many beautiful quilts for FHQ.

As time passed, declining eyesight made it difficult for her to continue sewing. Even so, Joyce found a way to keep contributing by making small drawstring bags, often used by children as suitcases. In recent years alone, she has made hundreds of these bags.

Joyce recently made the decision to step away from sewing for Firehouse Quilts, and she will be greatly missed. She is known for her dry sense of humor, youthful spirit, and willingness to step up for special projects. For several years, she generously contributed her time and talents to the Alzheimer’s auction quilts.
