Warming Hearts: Quilt Delivery to Marisol Home

On September 8th Joyce, Ruth and Jacque delivered 65 quilts to Marisol Home in Lakewood. In addition to the quilts, they donated 8 crocheted afghans and 44 pillowcases. Lynda, Operations Manager, Marisol, and Kia accepted this donation from FHQ. The quilts go to mothers with children and expectant mothers who are staying in a safe and caring emergency and community-based shelter. While living at Marisol Home the mothers learn how to be integrated back into the community through counseling and job training, and are offered quality childcare services. Lynda was kind enough to give a tour of the facility and explained how the shelter is run daily.
