On July 14, Christie, Barbara, and Jacque delivered 50 quilts to Carrie, the Program Director for Client Advocates at Help & Hope Center in Castle Rock. This agency provides emergency assistance to people living in Douglas and Elbert counties. The clients seen at Help & Hope are in financial distress and at risk of becoming homeless.
Client Advocates help them to receive food, pet supplies, and household supplies through the Food Pantry. They also have access to clothing through a voucher for the emergency closet and the Treasures Thrift Store. Assistance with utilities, housing costs, and referrals to other sources for help with personal matters is also provided by the Advocates.
This well-run agency has over 300 volunteers who help to keep it running efficiently and professionally.
