Following Firehouse Quilts' November sew day, 16 quilts were delivered to Craig Hospital. With winter sports and wintery roads on the horizon, the need is great.
During this delivery, one of our contacts, Abbey, showed Barbara C. the pictured wall hanging. It was made by a teenage patient as part of his Eagle Scout project. He had been a Rubik's Cube expert in high school. Following an automobile accident, he lost much of the function of his hands. But the Rubik's Cube became part of his therapy. He learned about Rubik's Cube art, which involves solving many Cubes to get the correct color combinations and made the Colorado wall hanging to donate to Craig Hospital. It is truly amazing what the patients at Craig learn to do!
