Sewcial Overdrive: Busy September Sew Day

The September 20th sew day was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lakewood. Because this is a much larger room to sew in, there are always more members who attend the sew day. This month there were 52 members who attended, including a couple of new ladies.

There were 173 quilts turned in and viewed during the bed turning.

The total number of quilts turned in this year is now 1,473. Also turned in were 16 Halloween pillowcases, 25 regular pillowcases, 1 Halloween apron, 15 crocheted hats, 3 flannel changing pads, and 12 crocheted blankets.

The members were able to go through some donated fabrics and quilt supplies as well as pick up kits and projects to be quilted.
