FIREHOUSE QUILTS

OF COLORADO, INC.

September Has a Busy Sew Day

The sew day on September 19th was extremely busy with 37 members attending. The concentration on donations this month was on items for the up-coming Mom Vet's Baby Shower and the Halloween dance. It's amazing how the members surprise us with overwhelming numbers of items they make. A total of 277 quilts were shown during the bed turning. In addition, there were 32 pillow cases, 2 tote bags, 5 afghans, 22 fleece blankets, 6 stockings, 32 scarves, 28 receiving blankets, and 100 darling crocheted baby hats turned in. The quilt number for the year now stands at 1,868 with a total of 1,248 donated to fire departments and human services agencies.
