Sacred Heart Shelter Receives Quilts

On November 4th, Jacque, Cathy, and Christie delivered 24 quilts to Delores at Sacred Heart Shelter. The shelter is in a former convent. At this time, their clients are in hotels as there are some renovations being done in the facility. Sacred Heart helps homeless women and children find work, get jobs and move on to being able to live on their own. In the last fiscal year, 146 homeless individuals, 43 mothers with 72 children and 32 single women, had the opportunity to rebuild their lives with services offered. Of those who stayed at Sacred Heart House of Denver, 53% of the families and 44% of the single women moved into stable housing.
