Quilts Needed for Back-to-School Event

On August 12, Dusty D and Jacque S delivered 50 quilts to Amanda, at Florence Crittenton High School. The quilts will be donated to the children of teen Moms at the Back-to-School night on August 20th.

Florence Crittenton is a Denver Public School high school for teens wishing to acquire a GED or graduation diploma while their children are cared for in the nurseries and early learning center. The girls are offered parenting classes, child development courses, and job preparedness tutoring, as well as the required curriculum.

Counselors are available to help the young women prepare for college or a career. In addition to the quilts there were 17 baby hats, 22 burp rags, 8 receiving blankets, 5 crocheted blankets, 10 baby doll quilts, and assorted books and puzzles donated.
