Quilts for Mountain Resource Center

On April 3rd, Kim Erickson, the Volunteer Coordinator at Mountain Resource Center (MRS) in Conifer, received 40 quilts from Firehouse Quilts. MRS serves Western Jefferson and Eastern Park counties by providing individuals and families who are searching for help with their day-to-day living needs. Their clients receive housing and utility assistance, early childhood education for their children, mental health/health assistance, Veteran resources, and food assistance. Kim and her staff told Lynn and Jacque that recently five quilts from Firehouse Quilts were given to five children who lost their father in an accident. The quilts will be displayed in the lobby and shared with clients, the learning center, and the health center known as Stride.
