Quilt Delivery to Denver Police Department

Twenty-four quilts were delivered on May 5th to Shannon Campbell with Denver Police. Shannon reported that stories and feedback from both sworn and non-sworn officers of the Denver Police Department have been truly amazing. Our beautiful handmade quilts are an incredible resource that have provided assurance to victims, both on scene and in the District stations.

In the Denver Police program, the quilts are dispersed to all District stations, and the Community Resource Officers distribute some of them to the patrol officers to have in their patrol vehicles, while other quilts are kept on hand for walk-in reports as a comforting resource.

The Denver Police Department would like to thank the volunteers of Firehouse Quilts who donate their time, energy and love in creating these colorful quilts. Their dedication and time to help those in need is admirable and the efforts directly provide an impact in the community.
