Forty-eight quilts were delivered on July 27 to Shannon Campbell. Shannon reports that stories and feedback from both sworn and non-sworn officers of the Denver Police Department have been truly amazing. Our beautiful handmade quilts are an incredible resource that have provided reassurance to victim’s both on scene and in the District Stations.
The quilts have made a big impression and the airport is the where the demand is the greatest. The Denver Police Department would like to thank everyone who donates their time, energy and love in creating these colorful quilts. Their dedication and time to help those in need is admirable and the efforts directly provide an impact in the community. In the Denver Police program, the quilts are dispersed to all District stations, and the Community Resource Officers distribute some of them to the patrol officers to have in their patrol vehicles. Some quilts are kept on hand for walk-in reports as a comforting resource.
