Barbara C., Lynn E., and Mary P. recently delivered 12 quilts to the Central City Fire Department. 8 quilts were for children and 4 were for adults.
In this town of under 1,000 residents, the volunteer fire department is concerned with providing a safe environment for its community through quality emergency services, education and prevention programs.
Wayne, who met us for this delivery, shared the story of one senior citizen who depends on the Fire department for several kinds of help. He knew immediately that he would be giving her one of our quilts.
As fate would have it, much of the department was out fighting a fire when we made our delivery.
