FIREHOUSE QUILTS

OF COLORADO, INC.

Preparation for Delivery Rush at Sew Day

The sew day on November 13th was a bit frantic because so many quilts and items were turned in, counted, and bagged. November is the busiest month for Firehouse Quilts because most of the holiday deliveries to clients take place in that month. It’s a bit of a puzzle to figure out who needs their items and what their deadlines will be.

There were 191 quilts shown during the bed turning, including 24 beautiful Christmas ones. There were over 50 members who attended and contributed to this phenomenal number of quilts. There were also 62 pillowcases, 58 receiving blankets, 126 Christmas stockings, 3 crocheted blankets and 5 dolly quilts turned in.

The total amount of quilts turned in this year is now 1,740 with 1,369 already delivered to our agencies. Thank you to the hard-working members of FHQ for making the holiday season bright for so many children.
