Mountain Resource Center Receives Quilts

On October 24th, the Mountain Resource Center in Conifer received a donation of 48 quilts. The quilts will be handed out during the holiday season at the Christmas party for families with children. In addition to the quilts 11 receiving blankets, 8 afghans, 23 baby hats, and 14 scarves were received by Jamie, a volunteer with MRC.

This facility provides emergency financial and utility assistance, family education, job training, on site healthcare, veterans support, food pantry assistance and a thrift store. Since 1990 they have served the rural areas of West Jefferson and Park counties, and more recently Clear Creek and Gilpin counties.
