Members of Firehouse Quilts of Colorado recently toured Craig Hospital. A member of the Craig Foundation was our tour guide.
It was fascinating to not only see some of the more obvious therapy in action, but to learn of the many daily tasks that patients have the ability and tools to adapt. Think of driving a car, getting through an airport and into an airline seat, shopping in stores in a mall or a. grocery store.
The tour reinforced all the tasks we take for granted that are true challenges for those with brain and spinal cord injuries. Craig does all they can to help with patient independence.
We continue to hear how grateful the patients and families are to receive the quilts and pillowcases from FHQ.
