Marisol Home is Very Busy

On April 17th; 39 quilts were delivered to Marisol Home in Lakewood. Kia, the Program Director, accepted the donation and said they have all 15 rooms at the shelter filled currently. In addition to the 15 Moms, there are 19 children staying at Marisol. Twelve of the children are under the age of one year. Marisol offers support services to help families regain their independence with safe and caring emergency homes for mothers with children and expectant mothers. While living at the shelter the mothers receive case management, counseling, job training, and quality childcare. In addition to the quilts there were also 13 afghans and 20 pillowcases donated.
