Limb Preservation Visits FHQ Sew Day

On Wednesday, July 20th, four ladies affiliated with the Limb Preservation Foundation made a visit to the sew day. They were kind enough to bring snacks and drinks for the group to enjoy. They spoke briefly regarding how appreciative they are to receive the quilts from Firehouse Quilts and how they are passed along to patients who are facing possible loss of a limb or are recovering from surgeries. The ladies had a fun time personally picking out their supply of quilts to be handed out to patients in the future. Thank you to Marcy, Eunice, Christine and Adrianne for coming to the sew day.

There were 166 quilts, 6 fleece blankets, 31 BACA bags, and 7 crocheted afghans turned in at the sew day. The total number of quilts turned in this year is now 1,334, with a total of 988 quilts that have been donated to agencies in need. The members of Firehouse Quilts are dedicated to the mission of making and donating quilts to children/patients in crisis and we are so thankful for that.
