On June 1, 2021, nearly 35 Firehouse Quilts members met outdoors to pick out fabrics for making quilts in the future. During the past 14 months there were many generous donations of fabrics to FHQ that had been stored in a garage. It took seven ladies nearly nine hours in two days to sort through all of the donations in order to categorize the fabrics into colors and types. They were put into tubs and boxes so they could easily be put out on tables on the distribution day. Everyone seemed to be having a great time collecting just the right fabrics and they mentioned that it was the most fun they have had in the past year. Firehouse Quilts is extremely grateful for the generosity of those who donated the wonderful fabrics.
