The Help and Hope Center in Castle Rock received 64 quilts on October 26th from Firehouse Quilts. They will go to clients who are struggling to have their everyday needs met. Jenny V, the Deputy Director, said their client numbers have more than doubled and they are having to meet with 50 people every day. Families are provided food, clothing, utility and housing assistance, and referrals to other agencies. Some quilts are handed out to new clients and others are made available through the “birthday room” where parents can pick out gifts for their children at no cost. In addition to the quilts there were 8 large fleece blankets delivered. Accepting the donation were Jenny and Joan.
