Final Sew Day in 2023 Extremely Busy

The final sew day for the year was on December 13 at Above and Beyond Sewing. There were 42 who attended and turned in 128 quilts. Also turned in were pillowcases, large bags, fleece blankets, receiving blankets, stockings, and crocheted blankets.

The final number of quilts turned in during 2023 is 1,927 and the total amount donated to our clients is 2,051!

Prizes were handed out to the people who made the most Christmas quilts and stockings in the challenge. Candy G made 11 quilts and Jo G made 6. There were 30 stockings made by Cathy F and 20 made by Maureen S.

Danielle, who works for Spectrum Communications, and Stacey made a presentation to the board for a grant of $1,000. (More news to come about this next month)

Monica, a resident of Solaris Residences, presented FHQ with $150 from a bingo fundraiser in the fall.

Summer, the Events Coordinator for Highlands Ranch Therapeutic Programs, stopped by to show the members photos from the Halloween dance and say thank you for the quilts donated in October.

These guests made the final sew day of the year fun for all.
