FHQ Members Tour Marisol Home

On June 29, seven members of FHQ delivered 84 quilts to Lynda L., Operations Manager of Marisol Home. Marisol, who is the Director, gave us a tour of the facility. There are 15 rooms for moms and their children. We toured the dining room, classroom, playroom, counseling room, and the large family room. Marisol Home provides safe and secure emergency and community based extended stay shelter for pregnant women and single women with children. The residents must attend classes to learn new skills. When they eventually move on to their own home, Marisol provides support for them to help them become adjusted. It was heartwarming to see how these women are supported. And it was very nice to see our quilts on the beds.
