On Friday and Saturday, October 14 and 15, the annual volunteer appreciation event was held at the Roxborough Community Center. The were 28 members who attended the two days that included sewing, door prizes, thank you gifts, and a luncheon. This event allows the Board members of Firehouse Quilts to show their appreciation to the members for their hard work and dedication by making quilts and many other items throughout the year. It's always great fun to just relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and have uninterrupted time to sew on personal and FHQ projects. This truly is a special group of people who make up our membership. Thank you to the Board members and their families for always pitching in during the weekend with setting up and taking down tables and chairs, and cleaning.
