Denver Police and FHQ Spread Comfort to Communities

Thirty two quilts were delivered on October 11, by Jeanne to Shannon and Ty Campbell with the Denver Police Department. Shannon and Ty both say that the reception of quilts is truly amazing. Our beautiful handmade quilts are an incredible resource that have provided reassurance to victim’s both on scene and in the District Stations.

The Denver Police Department would like to expand their distribution of quilts to surrounding communities. They want to model their program to smaller communities in hopes that local quilters will want to establish a supportive connection to their own police stations.

In the Denver Police program, the quilts are dispersed to all six District stations and the airport. The Community Resource Officers distribute some of them to the patrol officers to have in their patrol vehicles, while some are kept on hand for walk-in reports as a comforting resource.
