The Crisis Center in Douglas County received mostly Christmas quilts on December 14 to be handed out at their Christmas party. Jordyn N received the quilts from Jacque S. Other items donated were Christmas pillowcases and stockings.
The emergency shelter is for victims of domestic violence who receive therapy and help on how to live free of domestic violence. Clients are helped with relocation, food and clothing, safety plans, legal assistance, and counseling for children. The shelter houses three families and is currently full. There is a hotel room in Douglas county that also houses one additional family.
