Catholic Charities Prepares for Winter

Katy B, the Director of Client Services with Catholic Charities, recently reached out to Firehouse Quilts for more quilts. She said they will have clients soon who will be in dire need of keeping warm because they are homeless or without electricity. Christie and Jacque delivered 59 quilts to Catholic Charities, along with 22 fleece blankets, 14 scarves, 4 hats, 4 afghans, and 11 receiving blankets in order to meet their needs. Catholic Charities in Castle Rock serves people in Douglas and Elbert counties in order to help them become self sufficient and to overcome poverty and homelessness. They are also a part of the Family Center of Douglas County that provides family support to ease suffering and provide supplies at their time of need. FHQ has partnered with Catholic Charities for nearly seven years.
