Catholic Charities Aids Many

On June 24th, Paul and Mandy, of the Catholic Charities Central office in Castle Rock, received 73 quilts from Firehouse Quilts. Case managers for Catholic Charities work to achieve stability for many in need. Families who are in need of food, clothing, rent and gas assistance, and help with medical and educational expenses can turn to Catholic Charities for support. The biggest need currently is assistance with rent and housing expenses. Homelessness in Douglas County has become a big problem and the Sheriff, Commissioners, and Human Services organizations are all working together to try to remedy the problem. The donated quilts will be shared with the Colorado Springs facility.
