FIREHOUSE QUILTS

OF COLORADO, INC.

Busy Sew Day in March

On March 15, there were 54 members of FHQ who attended the sew day at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lakewood. The church location allows everyone to spread out with their quilting projects, cutting, and ironing. Lynette J, a member of the church women's group Relief Society, was kind enough to provide delicious snacks for everyone to enjoy. Her kindness is so appreciated. There were 258 quilts turned in, bringing the total number for 2023 to 464. In addition to the quilts there were also 36 pillowcases, 27 fleece blankets, 20 scarves, 15 afghans, 14 hats, and 3 pair of gloves turned in. It took a large group of helpers to get everything sorted, put into bags, and then loaded into vehicles. A big thanks goes out to everyone who once again made so many lovely quilts for the children/patients who will receive them. Your dedication is amazing.
