FIREHOUSE QUILTS

OF COLORADO, INC.

Busy July Sew Day

There were 47 people who attended the July sew day, including three ladies who were there for their first time. Peggy B donated a roll of batting which is most appreciated, as batting is one of the biggest expenses for FHQ. There were 188 quilts turned in, now making the total for 2023 to be 1,152.

Two big tables were stacked with quilts to be viewed during the bed turning. Additionally, other items turned in were 34 pillowcases, 10 flannel blankets, 3 bibs, 16 burp cloths, 5 crocheted blankets, 10 receiving blankets, and four blanket/burp cloth sets.

The volunteers of Firehouse Quilts are such a generous and productive group. All of these items help us to fulfill our mission of donating quilts and other items to children/patients across Colorado.
