Amidst the hum of sewing machines and the rustle of fabric, the April Sew Day proved to be a remarkable success. With 48 members attending, the event was abuzz with creativity.
Summer, from the Highlands Ranch Therapeutic Recreation program, visited and graciously extended her heartfelt thanks for the Sweetheart Dance donations. She delighted us with some photos and thank you notes, showcasing the joy these quilts brought to the recipients.
A total of 158 quilts were submitted, adding to the yearly tally which now stands at a commendable 621 quilts! But the generosity didn't stop there. Attendees also donated 17 pillowcases, 2 fleece blankets, 26 receiving blankets, 21 Christmas stockings, and 2 crocheted Afghans.
The outpouring of support extended beyond finished products, as evidenced by the overflowing donations of fabric in the back room. Five tubs and six large bags brimming with material were contributed, ensuring that future Sew Days will continue to be filled with boundless creativity and charitable spirit.
