The April sew day was held at Above and Beyond Sewing with 48 members attending. Some people drop off quilts and then leave, but the majority stay and get some sewing done and pick up fabrics, kits, and quilts that need to be quilted. It’s always a busy time.
Summer A, from Highlands Ranch Therapeutic group stopped by and brought some wonderful thank you notes and photos from the Valentine’s Dance in February. She is always so grateful for the donation of quilts and other items for the dance.
There was a total of 224 quilts turned in as well as 34 pillowcases, 11 large bags, 9 fleece blankets, and 12 crocheted blankets. The total number of quilts turned in this year is 688, with a total of 377 that have already been donated to agencies.
