On November 21, Barbara M. delivered 44 beautiful quilts to The PLACE in Colorado Springs. Patrice and Tayah were happy to receive the quilts.
The PLACE has a welcoming drop-in Center for young people ages 15-24 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability in the Pikes Peak region. At the
drop-in center, the young people have a safe, warm place to relax, get a warm meal, use the internet to check emails, apply for jobs and research education options. They can also engage in case management, mental health and substance use services that they may not be able to access otherwise.
The PLACE recently opened a 50-unit permanent supportive apartment home community for young adults aged 18-24 called The Launchpad. It is designed with safety, well-being and healing in mind. Residents commit to a 1-year lease. Currently, The Launchpad is leased to capacity.
