That’s a Wrap for 2025

There is always a strong push during the final two months of the year for members to finish quilts and other projects in preparation for deliveries. In 2025, thanks to the dedication of Firehouse Quilts members, 2,178 quilts were turned in at sew days. These quilts were added to inventory and donated throughout the year.

In total, there were 47 deliveries made across Colorado in 2025, with 2,246 quilts donated to children and patients in need. This number is nearly as large as the 2,366 quilts donated during the COVID pandemic and the Marshall fires in 2022. During that time, Firehouse Quilts received additional quilts from other states and from quilt shops across Colorado, helping us reach such a remarkable total.

In addition to quilts, members donated many other handmade items in 2025, including 95 bags, 66 bibs, 210 hats, 633 pillowcases, and 216 receiving blankets. These impressive numbers reflect the generosity and commitment of our members, who freely give their time and talents to help others.

By late November, both the storage bin and the basement of the Firehouse Quilts president were overflowing, a true testament to an incredible year of giving.
