Spreading Warmth at Excalibur Outreach’s Turkey Fest

From November 20–25, Excalibur Outreach hosted its annual Turkey Fest Meal Giveaways at eight locations across Colorado, including Thornton, Englewood, Denver Health Clinics, Greeley, Arvada, Westminster, and Pueblo. This year, they provided an incredible 1,200 Thanksgiving dinners, which was a huge jump from last year’s 525!

On November 24, Firehouse Quilts Board members, Jacque, Karen, Christie, and Cathy, were on-site in Arvada and Westminster to share quilts with families attending the event. Earlier in the month 209 quilts were delivered to Excalibur, which were stored on their outreach bus until the perfect moment to give them out.

Seeing children and adults select a quilt to call their own was truly touching, their smiles and gratitude said it all.
