Sheridan Police Keeps FHQ Quilts in Cars

On April 28, there were 40 quilts donated to Adriana F, the Victim Advocate Coordinator for Sheridan Police Department. During the delivery, Keith, a Sergeant, dropped in to pick up quilts for his patrol car. He hands them out to children when on calls for domestic violence, assault, child abuse, and other emergencies.

Adriana guides clients through the criminal justice system after she encounters them while attending police calls. She sees children in crisis at schools, at the police department, in their homes, and on the streets. She has recently had an increase of calls for Veterans who need assistance working their way through the system for housing and food.

Adriana mentioned that three FHQ quilts were just handed out to children involved in a domestic violence call and they brought comfort to the family.
