Ralston House Recieves Qults

On February 6, Lynn and Christie delivered 40 snuggle quilts to Teresa and the volunteers at Ralston House. They were thrilled to receive them.

Ralston House is a child advocacy center that partners with law enforcement, child protective services, and the district attorney’s offices in Jefferson, Adams, Gilpin, and Broomfield counties. They provide a safe, child-friendly place to investigate abuse and to ensure that children who have been physically or sexually abused, or who have witnessed violence, receive compassionate victim services.

When a child arrives at Ralston House, one of the first things they see is a basket of quilts. They are invited to choose one they like. If none of the quilts in the basket feel just right, they can visit the storage room and look through additional quilts that have not yet been placed out.

Each child is also given a marble during their visit. When they add their marble to a growing jar, they can see in a tangible way that they are not alone.
