The final sew day of the year was on December 10, with 53 members attending and turning in 97 quilts. It’s been a productive year for the ladies who have made and turned in 2,178 quilts which is truly amazing. The members are devoted to making and donating quilts to children and patients in need across Colorado. Other fun items that were brought to sew day were stuffed toys, baby hats and booties, and pillowcases.
We had a visit from Dickens, who tried his luck at participating in the Great Quilt Count.
FHQ President, Jacque, received Christmas presents of gift cards and other fun items from members. It’s hard to believe the year is coming to an end, but it’s been one of the most productive in the history of Firehouse Quilts.
