FIREHOUSE QUILTS

OF COLORADO, INC.

Quilt Delivery to The Place

On April 18, Barbara M. delivered 34 beautiful quilts to The Place in Colorado Springs. Sarah was on hand to receive them.

The Place is the only non-profit organization in the Pikes Peak region solely focused on programs to support youth experiencing homelessness. The Place has a 20-bed facility which is open every day of the year and provides meals, clothing and a health clinic link for youth ages 15-20.

The Place is currently building The Launchpad, a 50-unit permanent supportive apartment home community for young adults aged 18-24. Residents will commit to a 1-year lease. It's designed with safety, well-being ,and healing in mind, listening to the needs of its residents. The building is expected to be ready for occupancy very soon.

Future residents of The Launchpad will receive one of our quilts. The young people are amazed that women who don't know them make these beautiful quilts for them. They send a big thank you to all the quilters.
